About Brothers, Inc.
and the Franklin Camp Preacher Scholarship Fund
[Brothers Home Page]
Franklin Camp was best known throughout our brotherhood for his brilliant mind, his vast knowledge and tremendous understanding of the Bible, and his sagacity in the application of biblical truth. Those who knew him quite well knew him as a warm and gentle person whose soul glowed with love for God, for the church, and for all mankind.
One of the things closest to his heart was training and encouraging young men to preach the gospel. In the early 1950's he was already conducting a class one night a week for this purpose. Later he conducted a class during the day on a weekly basis, with preachers driving from miles to attend. This he continued until his death.
After Franklin Camp’s death in May 1991, the Franklin Camp Preacher Scholarship Fund (FCPSF) was established. The FCPSF is under the oversight of the elders of the Adamsville Church of Christ. Brothers, Inc. was established to:
Fund the Franklin Camp Preacher Scholarship.
Preserve and distribute Brother Camp’s audio records from his teachings and his written works.
The Board of Directors Brothers, Inc. is comprised of 9 elders and 2 ministers.
The fund was established in his memory and under his name to help deserving men prepare themselves to preach the gospel of Christ. This fund will not be tied to any one Christian college or preacher training school, but may be used to assist preacher students in different schools.
This scholarship fund is designed to be a perpetual fund, with only the interest being used to train preachers. All contributions to the fund will be added to the principal, which will be invested so as to earn the highest rate of interest possible in keeping with sound business principles. The interest is being used to assist preacher students who are considered to be worthy. Each applicant for assistance from the fund is carefully screened.
